2.16 The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Nayler
Y'all know how much I love octopuses from our Season 1 Episode 16 (I didn't even plan this!) discussion of Remarkably Bright Creatures. So, I had a feeling I was going to at least enjoy Nayler's debut novel, The Mountain in the Sea. But I was no prepared to love it as much as I did. Nayler is able to dive deep into questions about consciousness, humanity, and communication without losing the readers and having some of the main characters be octopuses! I honestly can't recommend this enough and it might be my favorite book I have read so far this year.

Other things to do
Something to listen to: With all of the wedding planning, I have actually been listening to a lot of podcasts with wedding and event planners. They are really interesting so far.
Something else to read: I happened upon this article and it was too perfect not to include!
Something to watch: We marathoned the final of season of Jack Ryan when it came out. Season 1 is definitely still my favorite, but this one was pretty good too!
